Join youth leaders from across the country at the nation’s capitol to meet with elected officials, learn about government relations, develop your leadership skills, and participate in team trainings.
Capitol Leadership Training Objectives FCCLA members and advisers will: · have the opportunity to participate in public policy development and advocacy training · develop a state and local advocacy plan · meet with members of Congress and Federal officials · have the opportunity to explore the nation's capitol
2010 Capitol Leadership Information Capitol Leadership is open to all FCCLA members and advisers, but space is limited so register early! Registration must be completed online by September 10, 2010. Registrations submitted after September 10 will incur a $50 per person later fee. Click here to register now. Registration closes September 15, 2010.
Capitol Leadership will be held at: Omni Shoreham Hotel2500 Calvert Street N.W.Washington, DC 20008*Registration includes hotel accommodations for October 10-13. The FCCLA room rate is available three nights prior and three night following the training, based on availability; please contact Valerie Weber at vweber@fcclainc.org to make arrangements if your group would like to stay additional nights.
2010 Captiol Leadership Pre-Training Information - all attendees should prepare for the training prior to arrival by completing the pre-training materials.
