The 2009-2010 National Executive Council invites you to attend the 2010 National Leadership Conference.  

"Are you ready to celebrate FCCLA's birthday with our country's independence all in one unforgettable conference?  65 Years of Leadership is being celebrated at this National Leadership COnference in the windy city where it all began: Chicago, Illinois!  A marvelous conference has been planned.  Attend some stellar workshops, participate in career explorations , take part in officer trainings, and get motivated by the best speakers and general sessions on the planet!"

A National Leadership Conference Brochure was mailed to all affiliated chapter advisers in the Winter Chapter Mailing.  Click here for a downloadable version of the brochure.

Conference Registration 

Registration is required to participate in all sessions, special events, tours, and workshops at the National Leadership Conference.  Name badges and wristbands/tickets will be checked.  Conference Registration closed June 11, 2010.  Onsite registration is available.  Request a registration form to complete and bring onsite. Please send any questions to meetings@fcclainc.org  Registration Information and Policies are available in the brochure.

Housing Information

The housing deadline for guaranteed housing was May 1, 2010.  Housing at the official convention hotels is now closed.  Please send any questions to meetings@fcclainc.org

For questions regarding already confirmed housing reservations at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, please contact Robert Kelly, Hyatt Reservations Coordinator, at robert.kelly@hyatt.com  Robert should respond to your questions within 48 hours.  If paying for your Hyatt rooms by credit card, please complete and include a Credit Card Authorization Form

For questions regarding already confirmed housing reservations at the Sheraton Chicago, please contact Yolanda Townsend, Sheraton Group Housing Coordinator, at yolanda.townsend@starwoodhotels.com  Yoldanda should respond to your questions within 48 hours.

The Hyatt Regency Chicago will serve as the headquarters hotel; the Sheraton Chicago will serve as overflow housing and provide additional meeting space.  Additional Housing Information and Policies are available in the brochure.

NEW!  Overflow Hotel

We are pleased to announce that the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place will be providing overflow housing for the upcoming conference.  The hotel is adjacent to McCormick Place where all general sessions, some STAR Events and the Gala will take place.  The rate at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place is $159 (plus tax) per room, per night.  At this time all reservations must be made online.  You will receive immediate confirmation of your reservation(s).

Conference Shuttle Service

The Hyatt Regency Chicago and Sheraton Chicago hotels are located a short walking distance from each other.  Shuttle service will be provided between the Hyatt Regency Chicago and McCormick Place, where the General Sessions and other activities will take place.  Limited shuttle service will be provided between the Hyatt Regency Chicago and the Sheraton Chicago.

Career Explorations: Registration Now Open!

FCCLA is committed to providing its members with high quality educational resources and options during national meetings.  This year we are pleased to offer career explorations on a limited basis on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Career Explorations are designed to increase career awareness and encourage career investigation for student members.

Spotlight on Projects

Participates will recieve confirmations by June 1.

Photograpy

State Group photo appointments are scheduled by state advisers.  Contact your state adviser for more information. 

STAR Event participant medal photos will be taken after each recognition session.  Orders placed prior to July 1 offer a discount on the shipping and handling fee.

National award winner photos will be taken after each session.  Candid photos will be taken throughout the conference .  Small group and individual photos can be taken in the exhibit hall during normal exhibit hours.  All photos will be available online for for viewing and purchase the following day.

Insurance for Conference Attendees

NLC Exhibits

The FCCLA Exhibit Program features FCCLA Publication Sales, FCCLA emblematic items, career resources, fundraising ideas, and educational and training materials and opportunities.
