American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS)

AAFCS is the only professional association dedicated to Family & Consumer Sciences professionals.  AAFCS strives to improve the quality and standards of individual family life by providing educational programs and influencing public policy  through communication.  AAFCS members work to empower individuals, strengthen families, and enable communities.

Family Economics & Financial Education (FEFE)

The Family Economics & Financial Education project (FEFE) joins together with FCCLA with the mutual goal of strengthening families by improving financial literacy. FEFE is committed to providing no-cost family finance curriculum materials and low cost training opportunities to FCCLA advisers. Integration Charts have been developed to illustrate how the FEFE curriculum links directly to the FCCLA national programs. Enhancement Tools that describe classroom projects have been created to enhance student learning while strengthening families, careers, and communities through financial education. FEFE is a collaborative project among the John & Doris Norton School, the Take Charge America Institute,  and Take Charge America, Inc. 


Partnering with FEFE supports the Financial Fitness program and the State Advisers Management Meeting.


Goodheart-Willcox Publisher

Goodheart-Willcox is a premier publisher for Technical, Trades, Technology; Family & Consumer Sciences; and Career Education. Since 1921, they have been devoted to publishing a variety of exciting products including innovative textbooks, useful supplements, and inviting multimedia resources for school, industry, and individual training.

FCCLA scholarships range from $500 to full-tuition.
Johnson & Wales helps support FCCLA's Leaders at Work program, National Executive Council Advisers, and the State Advisers Management Meeting.

Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy
First convened in December, 1995, the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy determined that the average student who graduates from high school lacks basic skills in the management of personal financial affairs. The coalition's direct objective is to encourage curriculum enrichment to insure that basic personal financial management skills are attained during the K-12 educational experience. The wheels of education do not need to be reinvented, they simply require balance.  

FCCLA encourages state and chapter advisers to become an active member of their state's Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy State Coalition.

Partnering with Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy supports the goals of the FCCLA Financial Fitness program.

Kendall College
For 75 years, Kendall College has been offering engaging, specialized fields of study with a strong emphasis on immersive learning that is geared to academic, personal, and professional success through Kendall's Schools of Business, Culinary Arts, Education, or Hospitality Management.  Kendall College is located in downtown Chicago and is a member of Laureate International Universities, a global network of more than 50 institutions of higher learning in 24 countries offering more than 130 career-focused undergraduate, master's, and doctorate degree programs.

Partnering with Kendall College supports FCCLA STAR Events, national meetings, and awards.


Kikkoman Corporation
FCCLA provides scholarship opportunities for four- to six-week summer programs in Japan funded by the Kikkoman Corporation. The 2010 program awarded 14 FCCLA members full scholarships. These scholarships are available only to FCCLA members in their sophomore or junior year of high school. This partnership with Kikkoman and Youth for Understanding USA (YFU USA) also awards scholarships to two Future Homemakers of Japan (FCCLJ) students to travel to and live in the United States for one year.

The Japan summer program is administered by YFU USA, a nonprofit international exchange organization. Based on the premise that international understanding can be achieved through individuals, its programs stress family living as the core of the overseas learning experience. The opportunity to experience the day-to-day life of another country and its people enhances students' awareness of international issues.  

Partnering with Kikkoman supports FCCLA's Japanese Exchange scholarship opportunity.

The National Guard  

The "Partners in Education” program connects Schools, Students and Teachers with “FREE” National Guard education resources. Presentations include Conflict Resolution, Communication skills, Leadership skills and Career preparation. These presentations inform and inspire students by emphasizing decision-making skills that are essential for success in work and life. Through the Career Mentor volunteer database, educators and students can learn more about the diverse civilian occupations held by members of the National Guard.

 Partnering with the Army National Guard Partners in Education program helps support the national meetings. 

 

 

 

 National Kitchen and Bath Association

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is a proud sponsor of the FCCLA Interior Design STAR Event.  This nonprofit association owns the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show & Conference (K/BIS®) featured annually on HGTV.  With 40,000 members, the NKBA has educated and led the kitchen and bath industry for more than 45 years.  NKBA promotes excellence in kitchen and bath design by establishing standards for planning kitchens and baths, the NKBA Kitchen & Planning Guidelines; as well as developing and evaluating programs for accreditation, the NKBA Accredited Programs.  More than 50 educational institutions have kitchen and bath design curriculums recognized by the association.

Partnering with NKBA helps support FCCLA STAR Events.

The NASCO Family and Consumer Sciences catalog offers a complete line of hands-on educational materials, including Ready-Or-Not-Tot® parenting simulators and curriculum; nutrition education materials featuring the Life/form® food & fat replicas; Family & Consumer Sciences games, books, software, and videos; classroom equipment and furniture; housewares, and sewing machines.

Nasco helps support the FCCLA Teach and Train STAR Event and provides a $1,000 Scholarship.


National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP)

Every other year the FCCLA Vice-President of Parliamentary Law serves as an intern at the National Association of Parliamentarians meeting. NAP also provides evaluators for the parliamentary procedure STAR Event. NAP strives to assist youth and youth organizations in the study and effective use of correct parliamentary procedure to promote effective leadership and involvement in national organizations.

Partnering with NAP helps support the Parliamentary Procedure 
STAR Events.

Otis Spunkmeyer, Inc.
Otis Spunkmeyer specializes in sweet baked goods including the best cookies ever, muffins, brownies, danish and more.  Otis Spunkmeyer, Inc. has formed a partnership with FCCLA in an effort to help educate students on all aspects of the business world.  Through their fresh-baked cookie program, students can learn profit/loss scenarios, inventory management, marketing and promotion, and much more.  Their cookies and muffins are well recognized making sales easy and allowing FCCLA chapters to earn the money needed for curriculum, competitive events or any other needs. 
 
The funding from Otis Spunkmeyer supports the FCCLA contests area.

National Technical Honor Society
Thousands of schools and colleges throughout the U.S. and its territories have a chapter of the honor society on their campus.  These member schools agree that NTHS encourages higher scholastic achievement, cultivates a desire for personal excellence, and helps top students find success in today's highly competitive workplace.

Visa's Practical Money Skills for Life program is a free, online classroom resource accessible on the FCCLA Get Connected to…CD-ROM. This resource for educators, students, parents, and consumers offers classroom materials, quizzes, an interactive video, and online calculators. The resource is designed to help young adults learn the basics of financial education via interactive tools ranging from curriculum to games. The Practical Money Skills for Life program depends on the efforts of talented educators who use its tools in the classroom. That's why Visa sponsors the Practical Money Skills for Life Educator's Challenge. Family and Consumer Sciences teachers and FCCLA advisers can register at www.practicalmoneyskills.com.

Partnering with Wiley Publishing, Inc. supports training on The Student Leadership Challenge efforts, lesson plans, the Interior Design STAR Event, the State Advisers Management Meeting, and a $1,000 scholarship.  Wiley Publishing, Inc. has also made the Student Leadership Practices Inventory (SLPI) available to various FCCLA stakeholder groups to evaluate their own leadership behaviors.  This premier 360-degree student assessment was created by the The Leadership Challenge authors, James M.
